En este video exploramos la Cascada de Agua Caliente, ubicada en el ejido Agua Caliente, Cacahoatán, Chiapas. Una joya natural compuesta por dos cascadas termales —una impresionante 'cola de caballo' de más de 100 m— y una poza burbujeante de agua a cerca de 50 °C. Es una pequeña comunidad indígena mam, denominada Agua Caliente, en el municipio de Cacahoatán, Chiapas, México. En su cañada corre un afluente tributario del rio Coatán; que, en su tempestuoso descenso por la ladera volcánica, forma 2 cascadas, la mayor como si fuera una bien formada cola de caballo de más de 100 metros de altura. Este lugar impone respeto y admiración que los mismos lugareños pregonan diciendo, que si hacemos enojar a la cascada con gritos y silbidos, la cascada se enoja y altera su caída con una buena porción de agua mojando a los que se atrevieron a alterar con sus gritos la tranquilidad del lugar. 👣 Cómo llegar: Tapachula/Cacahoatán → Unión Juárez → El Águila → Progreso → Chespal Nuevo/Viejo → Agua Caliente. Desde Tapachula (por El Edén) o Cacahoatán (hacia Unión Juárez desviándose en Faja de Oro), llegar al ejido El Águila. Entrando al ejido El Águila, tomar un desvío (calle) a la izquierda rumbo al ejido El Progreso. En el ejido El Progreso seguir por la carretera rumbo a Chespal Nuevo. Una vez en Chespal Nuevo dirigirse rumbo a Chespal Viejo. En la carretera de Chespal Viejo se encontrará un desvío a la derecha, que es el camino rural hacia Agua Caliente. Tomar dicho camino hasta llegar a Agua Caliente. Entrando al ejido se topará con el letrero que indica el acceso descendente hacia el lugar en donde están las cascadas y las aguas termales. ⏰ Horario: 9 a 17 h. 💧 Tips: calzado antideslizante, no jabones, traje de baño. 📅 Mejor época: Nov‑Abril.
